How about a comic-book newsgroup? Call it net.comix and no one need worry about the trailing "s". Or would comics be discussed in net.books?

I think a group on comics would be a great idea! But you should call it net.comics, not net.comix, because comix has all those other connotations.(it usually refers to underground comix only) Maybe it should be net.books.panelology, since we all know that comics are more literate than most "books" being published these days.(to quote Johnny Storm, "Flame On"!) joanne harpo!utah-cs!sask!firby

I suppose it'll take a month to decide if it's net.books.comics (too long) or some other subgroup. I suggest that people interested in net.comics or net.comix, submit articles to net.rec to see if there is enough traffic to warrant creation of such groups. Why create a new group and find out in two weeks that there's nothing much left to discuss? See what's happened to net.rec.coins. As an aside, my previous proposal to net.rec.stamps is in the same category.

I suggest the name "net.comics-lovers" (yes, I'll know it'll get truncated) to be consistent with the existing ARPA digest. Eventually, the two should be connected.
