The EMBL Network File Server : Accession numbers

The EMBL File Server has been improved to allow users to access EMBL
entries by accession number, as well as entry name.
eg. the file server command
GET DATALIB:Y00754
would fetch the entry with accession number Y00754 (entry name
SCFBP1)
If an accession number appears in more than one entry (as a secondary
accession number), the user will be returned all such entries
appended in one message.
The EMBL File Server contains all data in the latest EMBL Nucleotide
Sequence Database *PLUS* all data entries completed by the EMBL
Data Library since that release. New entries are available
immediately after they are finished, and indices based on these new
entries are re-generated daily.
Commands must be sent to the file server via standard electronic
mail to the network address NETSERV@EMBL.BITNET. The first commands
to try are:
HELP
and HELP DATALIB
