Could somebody please e-mail me the answer to the following questions

1) How often does the EMBL databse get updated?
2) What is the latest release of the database (24 ?)
3) Is EMBL database a public domain DB? if so where can I find it
(name of ftp site, etc) if not whom should I contact for subscription?

There are four quarterly releases per year which are distributed on magtape
and CD-ROM. Between release new entries can be retrieved from the EMBL File
Server (see below). They are available as soon as they are finished by the
Data Library staff.

The current release is Rel. 25 (November 1990). The next release is scheduled
for February 1991.

There are no limitations on the usage and distribution of the EMBL sequence
database. For subscription information contact DATALIB@EMBL.BITNET.
All entries are also available free of charge from the EMBL File Server. To
get information about this service, send a mail message to
NETSERV@EMBL.BITNET, and include the one line
