[net.micro] Graphic editor for IBM PC

nemetz@uci-750a.ARPA (06/19/84)

Does anyone know of an object oriented graphic editor for the IBM PC ?
I need one that can create a library of objects for use in later drawings.

Any information would be helpful, both public domain and marketed programs.

		Thank You

As far as I have been able to tell from about 1 week of use, the
PC Crayon program produced by (I think) PC Software is a very good product.
I believe it will do everything you would require, i.e. it allows the
creation, modification and use of user defined graphics symbols. There are
two types of symbols available, raster areas and vector definitions,
(raster == pixels in a rect. area; vector == relative line definitions.)

The raster and vector symbols can be stored in files and used
during the creation of a drawing. Both types have their advantages.

The program costs $ 49.95 and was available at the local
Computerland (in Upland, Ca.)
