i'm having difficulty getting the pop service to work using a mac II. it works great using a mac se connected to the appletalk going through a gatorbox, but a mac II connected to the appletalk or a mac II directly connected to the ethernet does not get mail from the unix server. i know the unix server is working properly (or rather the pop daemon is working properly) because i can retrieve, send, or reply mail from a mac se. has anyone ever run into this problem?? is there anyone out there who is using a mac II (connected to ethernet or appletalk)???? did you do anything special to get it going. i have mh 6.6 running on the unix machine. by the way, telnet works using the mac II, mail seems to be my only problem, the mac II hangs after i give it my password, and it seems to be after it connects to the unix machine, while it's trying to download the mail to the mac. any suggestions -dave laplant (laplant@engr.wisc.edu) IP # 128.104.41.30
