gwp@hss.caltech.edu (Mac Pigman) (07/05/89)
Is it possible to make post affix the domain name and not just the hostname so that other mailers can reply? (I'm having trouble receiving mail from some in England.) I've tried setting $SIGNATURE, putting localname: dido.caltech.edu in the mtstailor file, setting mmailid to 1 and adding my full address to the password file. All without success. I've even tried adding the line Reply-To: gwp@dido.caltech.edu to my ~/Mail/components, but post insists on stripping off the ".caltech.edu". Dido is a Sun 3/50 running SunOS 4.0.1, and my mh defaults are version: MH 6.6 #1[UCI] (ics) of Tue May 24 15:51:53 PDT 1988 options: [BSD42] [BSD43] [BERK] [TTYD] [DUMB] [MHE] [MHRC] [MSGPROT='"0600"'] [NETWORK] [BIND] [RPATHS] [SBACKUP='"#"'] [UCI] [SENDMTS] [SMTP] I'd be very grateful for any help.
