[comp.mail.mh] Scan Format for significant info in addresses

avolio@decuac.dec.com (Frederick M. Avolio) (10/10/89)

I would like to know if it is possible in mh to have the scan format
present addresses with the most significant information always displayed.

For example,

user@host.domain would be displayed as is

	host1!host2!host3!....!hostN!user would be displayed
right justified so that if anything was cut off
it would be cut off on the left

E-mail to me unless you think others would be interested.

What I would like is to pull out the FullName field if there is one,
else the comment field if there is one, else the mbox portion. I've
played with this using "pers", "mbox" and "note" as described for
addresses in mh-format(5), but they always seem to return null for
me. Does anyone have working examples of these?
