jdpeek@RODAN.ACS.SYR.EDU (Jerry Peek) (07/08/90)
I found some mysterious files in my home directory with names like
"alter-ego.map" and "other_jdpeek.map". I didn't make them myself,
so they got me sort of concerned, obviously. The files are full of
binary garbage.
Well, I finally figured out that the mystery files have the same names as
some test files I used to have listed in my .maildelivery:
From jerryp file A alter-ego
From jdpeek@gamera file A other_jdpeek
default - > A /usr/spool/mail/jdpeek
The FILES section of the mhook(1) man page doesn't say what these *.map files
are for. Shouldn't it? (Or do I need to RT other FM besides mhook(1)?)
I guess I could ftp a copy of source and figure it out myself, but does
anyone know?
