[comp.mail.mh] Does inc respect /usr/spool/mail/<user>.lock ?

michael@uni-paderborn.de (Michael Schmidt) (07/12/90)

The subject says it all. We are going to share one spool directory
among many clients. But for doing this, we have to ensure, that mh
also respects the locking by /usr/spool/mail/<user>.lock. Elm, Emacs
(rmail), mail, xmail, mailtool do so, inc apparently does not only
ignore the lock, but it looks so as if inc REMOVES the lock.

In the file $(etc)/mtstailor add the line:

lockstyle: 1
