When the first RSET is sent, sendmail responds with a mailer error -
no message received ('cause none was sent).  Looking at the code, I
assume that post is checking the return code of the RCPT TO's to
verify the addresses, then delivering the message with a "normal" SMTP
session.

Is this done on purpose, or am I missing something in the
configuration?
