The MH 6.7 changes document says that: scan With the `-file msgbox' switch, scan can list a packf'd-format file directly (without using msh). And it works great for things like checking the incoming mail. But it also seems to check the current folder -- and only work if the current folder has some messages in it: % folder HANDLE+ has no messages. % scan -file /usr/spool/mail/jdpeek scan: no messages in HANDLE % folder +inbox inbox+ has 27 messages ( 1- 36); (others). % scan -file /usr/spool/mail/jdpeek 1 09/06 James Reeves Tilde<<I have been looking around 2 09/06 C Super User Output from "cron" command<<Your 3 09/06 C Super User Output from "cron" command<<Your 4 09/06 To:jdpeek a test<<this is a test >> Is that a feature or a bug? --Jerry Peek; Syracuse University Academic Computing Services; Syracuse, NY jdpeek@rodan.acs.syr.edu, JDPEEK@SUNRISE.BITNET +1 315 443-3995
