[comp.mail.mh] Auto incorporation

gatesl@sackett.ucs.orst.edu (11/19/90)

I am currently trying to figure out why autoincorporation
isn't working on a couple of machines which have 6.7 installed. I am
baffled, because it works fine on another machine. The .forward
and .maildelivery files are the same, but the mail bounces back with the
error:

----- Transcript of session follows -----
sh: /usr/local/lib/mh/slocal.-user.gatesl: not found
554 | /usr/local/lib/mh/slocal -user gatesl... unknown mailer error 1

If anyone knows what might be the problem, I would appreciate
help.

	thanx
	lee

In .forward, you must quote the command:
"| /usr/local/lib/mh/slocal -usr gatesl"

On some systems you can get away without quoting, because the set up does
not substitute '.' for blank when parsing. But since you are using
special characters, quoting is the only reliable approach.
