First off, thanks to everyone who helped me out with emacs text mode and mh. I can't add anything to what has been posted here already so I won't! Secondly, does any have any experience with BBoards that they'd care to share with me? What I am trying to do is to set up a central mail archive (mostly of our internal mail) so that users here can look through past mail wars without being forced to squirrel away private copies of everything. We are not news users so are looking to set up a system from scratch. As we have no immediate intention of using BBoards as a means of interaction I'm not sure if they are suitable for our needs, however if the system is successful people will soon think of LOTs more uses. An alternative hack is to use a .maildelivery file to copy mail to a packf'd file and use NFS soft links for scan and inc invocations but this scheme runs out of steam almost immediately as it incapable of being put to any other use. Could anyone with relevant experience or alternative suggestions please comment and I could follow up privately and summarize to the list at a later date.
