Adding keywords to news poses no technical problems except for notes usera. The ARPANET mail standard already defines a "Keyword:" entry, B news will already pass keyword lines through unchanged, and the -h option of inews in release 2.10 will allow keyword lines to be entered. The problem is that readnews does not use keywords, and unless readnews is modified to at least print keywords, people will probably not bother to put keywords on their articles. Kenneth Almquist
