The unix mail interface contains a program called 'vacation' that enables one to have a message sent to anyone that sends a message to him. How can I change my .maildelivery file so that it automatically sends a copy of a message to each person that sends me mail. Do I use 'send', 'post', or 'mhmail'? I would like to store the body of the message in a separete file. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------- - Bowden Wise Computer Science Dept, Rensselaer Polytechnic Inst, Troy, NY 12180 internet: wiseb@turing.cs.rpi.edu bitnet: bowden@rpitsmts

use vacation. here is the relevant lines from my .maildelivery file. it appears you already know how to use vacation. # # Uncomment when on vacation # #to wohler | R "sed -e '1s/>From /From /' | /usr/ucb/vacation wohler" #cc wohler | R "sed -e '1s/>From /From /' | /usr/ucb/vacation wohler" all sed does is to remove the '>' that slocal inserts so that vacation knows who to reply to. -- --bw ----- Bill Wohler <wohler@sap-ag.de> <sapwdf!wohler> Heidelberg Red Barons Ultimate Frisbee Team
