I looked into the archives of this group and found a discussion on hiding multiple alias recipients. The solution that was proposed was: To: Any-Name:Your-Group-Name; You could also use the bcc-mechanism to hide the addressees from each other. I used the first solution a couple of times (works fine, except for the fact that local users get To: Any-Name: ;@LOCAL, but this has to do with the sendmail configuration, I guess). When I was playing with filter and formats, I discovered in my mail directory the following file, which should have been deleted by some program, but apparently hasn't; it is called posta06608: Subject: ontvangstbevestiging From: Ton.Verschuren@SURFnet.nl Organisation: SURFnet BV Address: Godebaldkwartier 24, P.O. Box 19035, 3501 DA Utrecht, The Netherland s Phone: +31 30 310290 Telefax: +31 30 340903 Date: Thu, 06 Jun 91 12:58:27 +0200 Sender: verschur@SURFnet.nl Bcc: Blind Distribution List: ; What happened is that the To: Any-Name:Your-Group-Name; header line is being translated into the Bcc: Blind Distribution List: ; header line, at least that's what I think... Any comments on this?
