Re: Interface development for 386/RS6000 I have just received Borland's C++ package. It's out of the wrapper but I'm still reading the 2 feet of books that came with it. The advantage of this package is the ability to link to other languages, esp. Borland's family of Pascal, Pascal 5.5 - object oriented Pascal, Assembler, Debugger and Profiler, as well as Borland's Prolog (assuming I can find my disks for this). The problem with C and C++ is library compatibilty. This is worth looking into for the 386 platform. I am just learning about various linkers and other libraries that can be used with this development system so I can not yet answer to UNIX compatabilty. I'm trying to work with the protected mode in the 386 and hope that this C++ system will let me. The product is suppose to be a full AT&T version 2 implementation of C++ as well as meeting the X3J11 ANSI C standard. It might take me some time to decide if this is the way to go in the area of development. There does seem to be a good collection of graphic routines that are included. Can any one point me to a good 32 bit assembler and definitive books on 386 architecture?
