Can anyone tell me what the copyright status of TI's PC-SCHEME is? I bought an executable from them (version 3.03) some years ago. Now I see sources to the interpreter/compiler posted for anonymous ftp on altdorf.ai.mit.edu. The "README" file on that posting says that MIT has the right to do as they please with the sources, but TI still owns them and significant applications must be returned to TI for incorporation into future releases. Does this mean I can use the sources too (even though I'm not at MIT)? Are existing (paid for) PC-SCHEME executables covered by the same rules as the sources? Or do I have to recompile/assemble the sources myself if I want a "free" executable? Andrew Ginter, 403-220-6320, gintera@cpsc.ucalgary.ca
