In the May-issue of Byte a scheme implementation for PC's is reviewed. Its name is EdScheme, version 3.2 and comes from Lambda Publications, UK. It is small and has to be, it can only make use of a small amount of memory for garbage-collected data. It has its own editor, but poorly integrated with the evaluator. The language includes fixnums and floats and functions for text-windowing and Turbo-style turtle graphics. Has anyone tried EdScheme, it seems like a nice scheme for use in education because of its size and graphics functions. Does anyone know of rumours of future releases, such as being able to use more memory? I will make a summary of responses. -- - hal
