I've had annoying problems trying to run the extended and expanded memory versions of Texas Instruments' PC-Scheme on a 80486 machine. (The 640k version works fine on the 486, and I can run all versions fine on my 386.) The environment is a generic 486 with all caching disabled, DOS 4.0, QEMM 5.1, VGA, and otherwise a pretty plain vanilla set-up. The bugs are rather strange: built-in functions seem to disappear and changing the order in which some things are done changes the bugs. The problem seems to be in accessing memory. Anyone else had similar problems? Any suggestions on a cure?
