Has anyone else seen a problem with compiling netnews under System V on a Tahoe machine? News seems to run pretty much OK, except expire has serious problems: The 'oldest message' is set equal to 'newest message' in most news groups, but the actual article files in /usr/spool/news are seldom if ever actually deleted. I've been reduced to never running expire, and running a brute-force "find older & rm" script instead. The make (patch level 14) gets the following diagnostics. "control.c", line 895: warning: illegal pointer combination "control.c", line 896: warning: illegal pointer combination "control.c", line 897: warning: illegal pointer combination "funcs.c", line 160: warning: illegal pointer combination "funcs.c", line 161: warning: illegal pointer combination "recnews.c", line 425: warning: illegal pointer combination "recnews.c", line 426: warning: illegal pointer combination "recnews.c", line 427: warning: illegal pointer combination "compress.c", line 316: warning: illegal pointer combination "compress.c", line 316: warning: illegal pointer combination "rfuncs.c", line 835: warning: illegal pointer combination "readr.c", line 183: warning: illegal pointer combination "readr.c", line 185: warning: illegal pointer combination "visual.c", line 1794: warning: illegal pointer combination
