[net.micro] Algorithms to do ...

hes@ecsvax.UUCP (07/24/84)

<>There have been a few request lately of the form, "Does anyone
have an algorithm to do ..." Many people in the micro world may
not be aware of a series of algorithms which were published in
Communications of the ACM for many years (and more recently in
Transactions on Mathematical Software.) Most of the early
contributions were written in Algol, but this still should be
readable to most programmers. All of the algorithms were tested
by a referee before publication, and they cover most everything
you can think of. They are also available all together as
Collected Algorithms of the ACM.
In particular they include a nice algorithm for generating all
permutations of n distinct objects.
