I am extremely interested in obtaining two software products from a company called Boston Business Computing (Lawrence, MA). These products are VCL and EDT for the 4D series machines. VCL is a VMS like shell and EDT is the VAX-VMS editor. The problem is that BBC does not want to port the software to the silicon graphics machine unless there is a demand. Since most of our users are from VAX-VMS I want to get these products to help them get onto the SG machine. If anyone else thinks that they might be interested, please let me know and also let Silicon Graphics know. Maybe if enough of us want the product we can motivate SG. Thanks. Hey if you wanna run VMS just buy a vax, just in case you didn't notice IRIS's run on the UNIX os. I think it's a ludicrous idea to run a VMS shell on top on UNIX.
