A friend of mine is thinking of porting Idris to his companies MC68000 box,
its currently delivered with CP/M-68K. Before switching over he would like
to hear any comments people have about Idris. His main concern is at which
level is it compatible with Unix (Rev 6 ,7 , System III, etc..). Any
information would be appreciated. He's not on the net so I will forward
replies to him.

Last I word that I heard was that Idris was reverse engineered from v6 UNIX.

A friend of mine saw a Perkin-Elmer 68000 box running Idris. A ls on an
unloaded system was outrageously slow according to him.
