If some people are really interested in VMS like command line editing on the 4D machines why not get the commercial product VCL from Boston Business Computing. It allows full VMS type command line editing as well as about 80% of the other things which VMS allows. P.S. they also sell what appears to be a 100% compatible EDT editor for the 4D.
