Does anything like Sun's etherfind or Jan Jacobson's tcpdump exist for an Iris? Both of these are programs which listen to all the packets on the ethernet and print out those which match various patterns. For example, with tcpdump, I can print out all the ICMP packets on the ethernet with a given IP address as either the source or destination, along with the time the packet was seen. Very handy for network debugging, especially if you don't have a LANalyzer. -- Roy Smith, System Administrator Public Health Research Institute {allegra,philabs,cmcl2,rutgers,hombre}!phri!roy -or- roy@phri.nyu.edu "The connector is the network"
