G'day, My understanding is that the mouse on the 4D series Irises uses a serial interface. Does anyone know for sure if this is true? If so, then does anyone know of a mechanical mouse, i.e. NOT an optical mouse which does not use the pad, that will work with the 4D. Dave Rogers

Why would you want a mechanical mouse? -- Brent L. Bates NASA-Langley Research Center M.S. 294 Hampton, Virginia 23665-5225 (804) 864-2854 E-mail: blbates@aero4.larc.nasa.gov or blbates@aero2.larc.nasa.gov

For Brent L. Bates: Obviously because I do not like optical mice!!!! dfr

That was obvious. I was just wondering if you had some logical or rationale reason for this dislike. I guess not. -- Brent L. Bates NASA-Langley Research Center M.S. 294 Hampton, Virginia 23665-5225 (804) 864-2854 E-mail: blbates@aero4.larc.nasa.gov or blbates@aero2.larc.nasa.gov

For Brent L. Bates: Yes I have a very logical reason but this is not the place for discussion. Let's get back to the basic question. Does anyone have an answer to it?
