I just picked up Gateway to Apshai by Epyx for my Adam. It is very
impressive. It is a sort of dungeon exploration game where you control
a man-figure, explore mazes, collect treasure, and kill monsters. It
has 99 dungeons, with 8 levels on each, with 60 rooms on each level (all
this is hardwired in, not random!). The joystick is used to move the
man, and the keypad is used to change options, such as fight, cast
spells, check for traps, etc. There are lots of different monsters,
weapons, magic spells, amulets, traps. Once again, very impressive. It
was $29.95 at Lionel Playworld in Phoenix. I'm glad to see that things
are finally coming out for the Adam. With quality offerings like GtA,
they may make it yet.
