actually, that is the VT100 "PF4" key I'm trying to locate in "xterm".

Coming from a VAX/VMS environment with may faculty users in the same boat,
I had a need to find the EDT keypad.  If you send the terminal an <esc>=
(I believe since I can't tested in with the hp workstation I'm using now),
the keypad should be enable to be the DEC VT100 type.  The numbered buttons
as well as the . (period) and enter  are direct maps.  The PF buttons are
the 4 function buttons labeled F9-F12 (the set of 4 right above the del-back
space button of the main keyboard).  This is documented, but I can't remember
where (probably the Owner's Guide or the man page for wsh).  I'd normally 
spend more time of making this message more correct, but can't right now 
and I thought the info/hint was more important.
