We've been happily running the MIT X libraries (X, Xt, Xmu, Xaw, oldX, Xext) as well as Xw for a while now -- even under 3.1. They compile fine with cc -I/usr/include/bsd and the same mods as the Mips.macros files indicate. In fact, we compiled most of the MIT X distribution's core and selected parts of contrib. Note: some versions of the MIPS C compiler have been known to dump core on compiling some files in Xw with -O. They compile fine without -O. (Works fine on 3.1 and 3.2 on SGI, anyway) On expo.lcs.mit.edu, via anonymous ftp, contrib/Xhp.R3.tar.Z contains a working Xw for R3. (Also on cs.toronto.edu in pub/X/Xhp.R3.tar.Z, on uunet.uu.net in X/contrib.R3/Xhp.R3.tar.Z, giza.cis.ohio-state.edu in pub/X.V11R3/contrib/Xhp.R3.tar.Z and many other archive sites)
