I tried to send this to the original poster, but it bounced... There are several PD/ShareWare programs for the Mac that allow you to convert images from one format to another. Giffer and VisionLab (my personal choice) are two that come to mind. Both are available via anonymous FTP from sumex-aim.stanford.edu (36.44.0.6) in the info-mac subdirectory, poke around to find the actual files. You can use these programs to convert your scanned images to GIF format (which has the advantage of being compressed using LZW) and then transfer the to the Iris. A program fromgif was posted here some time ago. There may be a copy in the archives; if not, we will be setting up an FTP site sometime after the first of the year, and it will be there... I will make an annoucement on the net when this occurs. That gives you a RGB data file, which you can play with using ~4Dgifts. < Bob | S090726@UMRVMA.UMR.EDU | Funchess > The 'S' stands for student.
