The Port group at the University of Waterloo is looking for comments on the W1010 hard disk controller. They have encountered a number of problems in getting a driver working mostly in the area of interrupts on completed operations. One question they have posed me is whether or not there are implied seeks on the read/write/format operations. Also is there anything special they have to do to ensure interrupts occur on the completion of an operation. The main problem is that we lack all documentation on this part and the local distributor does not have the documents either. Please direct all replies to allegra!watmath!klmartin. Thanks in advance.
