Hello, I'm trying to write a simple program which uses the message queues facilities. I manage to create a queue but when I try to send a message through it I get the error: "Resource temporarily". This means that a system limit has been reached. When running the ipcs(1) program I see that the queue's maximum bytes allowed (QBYTES) is zero. As a super-user I suppose that I could raise it (although I'm not sure, the manual says that the default is the system limit) but what should a regular user do? What I want is to raise the limit itself, if possible. Please forward answers directly to me (in addition to postings) since our news server is unrelable in the last few weeks. Thanks, Amos Shapira, amoss@batata[.huji.ac.il].bitnet - Amos Shapira amoss@batata.bitnet amoss@batata.huji.ac.il
