I have some code that will cause the C compiler to bomb with the following "self explanatory" message: Fatal error in: /usr/lib/ccom - core dumped The odd thing is that the problem with the file is a typographical error in a parameter structure pointer declaration. Ordinarily, I would expect something a little more graceful (if not more explanatory) to happen. If anyone at SGI is interested in getting a copy of this file and looking into the reasons for the "problem" I would be more than happy to help. Lee A. Syntax errors which cause ccom to core dump, huh? The nice thing about such bugs is that they are easy to isolate and submit as a tidy little test case. Please phone it into the Customer Support Hotline so we can fix it. ~ mjf@sgi.com Michael Fong ~ ~ ____ ~ ~ /_|__\--, ~ ~ "my books, my beautiful books" []Oo. `0-----0' ~
