[comp.sys.sgi] Anonymous FTP

mccalpin@MASIG1.OCEAN.FSU.EDU ("John D. McCalpin") (03/29/89)

Does the SGI 3000 series software support the traditional "anonymous" ftp
account system?
If so, what do I need to do to set up such a restricted ftp account?
If not, does anyone have the software for the 3000 series to do this?

Thanks,

We wish to set up anonymous FTP on our SGI server, but have no idea what to do.
Is there anyone out there in net-land who can help? I haven't been able to
find anything in the FTP man pages, or other manuals. Perhaps I'm overlooking
something obvious.

					Thanks in advance.

Re: question from Joseph L. Procopio on anonymous ftp

In the communications manual,
TCP/IP users guide V 2.0
Section Network administration,
page 4-15 is a section on anonymous ftp.
