Roy,
	Perhaps you should look into the 6511/Q or the 65F11 from Rockwell. The
specs are as follows:
		Instruction set- Enhanced 6502 w. bit manipulation.
		5v only,external rom,4(count 'em,4) parallel ports,a serial
		port, 2 16 bit timers,only needs a 2meg crystal (or 4 meg for
		a 2 meg internal clock,192 bytes of ram with standby pin for
		low power,very forgiving on board layout or wirewrap. I suggest
		that you look into the 6501 version as well, as it has internal
		pullups connected on the ports and requires a cheap 4mhz xtal or		ceramic resonator
				OR
		Try the 65F11 or 12. Same specs as above, but can be programmed
		directly in FORTH. With the development rom the chip can be used		to develop software on itself.
	
	I have used both chips, and love them both!
