I'm trying to foward my mail from a Personal IRIS on which I have an account to my main general-purpose account on a different machine. The command that I know of to foward mail is "mail -F destination" -- and this is what is documented in the man page on mail on the IRIS. However, trying this on two different IRISes has yielded the message "unknown flag -F". I'd appreciate any hints about fowarding mail through this or any other technique. I have seen references to using a ".Foward file", but have not found any documentation about the proper format for such a file -- and trial and error isn't doing it for me. Thanks a lot, Eugene Gholz (send replies to eugholz@athena.mit.edu)

You need a file call .forward in your home directory. This file contains one line of the form logname@destination or what ever you would have in a "To:" line. -- Brent L.
