While reading the October issue of "The Sun Observer", I ran across an article on the Translucent File System. The ability to mount file systems over others and being able to see both would be of tremendous use when dealing with multiple hosts in porting environments. The example given in the article of having one master source and then each porting host mounting via TFS over the source, allows for all porting hosts to do makes with one set of source without having to deal with individual copies of the source or massive amounts of soft links to make it "look" like it was the same build environment. Does anyone know if SGI has plans to support TFS?? What about 3rd party vendors if SGI isn't going to offer it? -- ##################################################################### # CompuServe: >INTERNET:uunet.UU.NET!ki!dwatts Dan Watts # # UUCP : ...!{uunet | wgc386}!ki!dwatts Ki Research, Inc. # ############### New Dimensions In Network Connectivity ##############
