I'm working on the X input extension for a future release of the system. When we make the transition to X, the way that input devices are implemented is going to change quite a bit (device daemons are unecessary). It would help me a lot to know how you use the various input devices. Do you just queue them and go or do you program them extensively? Do you share them among programs? Do you use them to track the cursor? Basically, I'd need to know which parts of the current device interfaces it is most important to preserve.
