ARRRGH.. I just got 3.3.1 installed on my PI. I was mildly enthusiastic about this becasue I wanted to see if the new advertised sphere primitives were any good. So I look in the manuals. NOTHING! No man pages, no index references, NADA! If I wait for the SGI hotline folks to get back to me, I'll have 4.0 installed! :-( Does anyone know if such critters exist? And if so, how do I use them? (yes, I can tesselate a sphere just fine myself, but I might as well use the feature if it's there, no?) +-------------------------------------+---------------------------------------+ | "When the going gets weird, | Marc Cooper marcc@ncsa.uiuc.edu | | the weird turn pro." | | | | National Center for Supercomputing | | -Hunter S. They put the documentation for the sphere primitives in a very stupid place, 4D1-3.3 Development Release and Installation Notes Appendix B. I moved these pages to the end of the graphics library reference manual, where they should be. -- Brent L. Did you try the online manuals? I just did 'man libsphere' and got a reasonable looking man page. We don't reprint hardcopy manuals at maintenance releases (such as 3.3.1) because of the cost. |> |> If I wait for the SGI hotline folks to get back to me, I'll have 4.0 installed! |> :-( This is either a huge compliment to the developers working on release 4.0 or a nasty slam at our hotline. I prefer to think its the former since our hotline has an excellent reputation. -- From the TARDIS of Mark Callow msc@ramoth.sgi.com, ...{ames,decwrl}!sgi!msc "There is much virtue in a window.
