Hi, if you have successfully installed and used a 3rd party SMD disk, please let me know. Alternatively, if you have been unsuccessful, letme know that as well. I will summarize. BTW, this is for the external "coffee table" that can contain up to 8 SMD disks. Mike Gigante, RMIT
