I have installed NFS on a CYBER 910 (SGI 4D/70) running IRIX 3.2.1.
When I attempt to exportfs a directory, I get the following error:
exportfs: /usr/local : Package not installed
When I attempt to mount a file system from another iris onto the cyber 910,
I get the following message:
mount: iris:/usr/apps on /apps: Invalid argument
mount: giving up on:
/apps
This is strange. I have NFS up and running on two other irises (3.3.1)
with no problems. (Prior to 3.3, these irises were running NFS under 3.2.1).
If anyone has any idea what the problem is, please let me know. I know that
a popular answer will be "upgrade to 3.3.1", but sgi won't be shipping our
3.3 tapes for this system until December-ish.
