[comp.sys.sgi] 24 bit X11 servers.

Although we have a 24bit PI here, running xdpyinfo shows only
two 8bit visuals available. Is there a way to make SGI's X11
server recognise a 24bit TrueColor visual?

Bernie.

X servers under 4Sight in 3.2- and 3.3-based IRIXes do not support
other than 8 bit visuals. Stay tuned.

The current SGI X servers do not support 24 bit visuals. They will
be supported in some future version of IRIX. We have it working in the
lab. No, you can't have a copy now. Stay tuned here for more info on
where we are going with X.
