[comp.sys.sgi] 3rd party memory for GTX/2x0 ?

I would like some input regarding compatability, prices and advisability of
3rd party memory modules for the GTX/2x0 series.

How does SGI respond to 3rd party memory modules and does this limit
future upgrades?
