[comp.sys.sgi] Dunn Camera driver available.

Dan Karron@UCBVAX.BERKELEY.EDU (12/06/90)

I have a Dunn 635 compact color camers we use off and on to make movies
and 8x10 polaroid prints.

LogE/Dunn has been bought by Matrix, and the camera is not made any more.
It has a CPM based S100 controller and takes a R,G,B photograph of a
Tektronics flat screen video monitor. It is an extremely rugged design, and
a large number of them are in service.

I have placed my old source code for a command line driver. You
can use this in a system call in your code to snap a frame. We let it
run overnight to make movie loops.

It is more of a point of departure for your driver you can write than
a hard and fast public utility. If you do use this code, please let
me know, and if you make any improvements (there is lots of room for that)
I would like to include them. If you need help, I can offer some
hard won experience.

Anon ftp to karron.med.nyu.edu, or write me if you want the source
monster mailed to you (monster mail is the directory tar'd,uuencoded,
compressed and split, then mailed in bits and pieces to you with a script to
put it back together again).

Cheers!

dan.
