Hi, I'm wondering if ther is a way to design our own icons on the IRIS graphics WorkSpace. Like the Mac Icon maker or something like that. I'm using a Personal IRIS 4D/TG and IRIX 3.2. Thanks. -Ching -email ching-tai@uiuc.edu OR ctt31684@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu

You should take at look at the document : "Programming the IRIS WorkSpace" I believe everyone gets it with the machine, but if you want another one, the part number is 007-2006-010. This document describes how you can write 'ftr's ( file type rules ) that describe the looks of icons, and their behavior when you double-click, alt-double-click, drop things on icons, how to print them, and even how to add things to the WorkSpace menu when the icon is selected. You can write the description of the icon in a GL-like language, but we also have a graphical tool for drawing icons. It's called IconSmith, and you can get it by sending a cartridge tape to Monica Schulze 2011 N.
