I've seen people assert this several times, but in both 3.2 and 3.3 the brutab file has entries for the SCSI tape devices and the ts (older ISI QIC24 drive) devices. The only drives missing are the xm (9 track Pertec interface) drives. The xm drives have been added for the next relase. I will admit the documentation in brutab itself, and the bru man pages doesn't explain that a size=0K entry is special; this is also fixed in the next release. A size=0K entry means that bru should continue to write until it gets an error indicating EOT has been reached. This maximizes tape usage, and deals with the case where different capacity tapes are used within a multiple volume backup. -- Dave Olson Life would be so much easier if we could just look at the source code.
