Hi, I've just been given the job of making sure our 4 Irises are kept up. Sunday our Personal Iris crashed. The screen now just displays junk like the horizional or vertical sweeps are messed up. It booted up just fine, and from another machine all appears to work well. Any ideas on how to fix the screen? -- Frank Kolakowski ======================================================================= |lfk@athena.mit.edu or lfk@eastman1.mit.edu or kolakowski@wccf.mit.edu| | Lee F. Our 3030's used to do this (every great once in a while). To fix it we would have to enter 'set display' at the prom monitor and hit the reset. I tried this on our PI and it does not work. Try 'setenv console G' at the prom monitor. Our problem was that the prom environment variables that are stored in non-volatile RAM would get screwed up. Hope this helps.
