ARCGraph is a metafile format designed at Ames Research Center and is used and produced by the Ames software: PLOT3D, GAS, SURF, FAST, and others. ARCGraph has options for pixels, voxels, 2D & 3D lines, polygons with all sorts of shading, vectors, almost any kind of graphical entity presently being used. Since the SGI imagelib is not documented, I have documentation for ARCGraph, and most of the software I use produces & use's it, I decided to use it as my standard metafile reference. I don't use SGI imagelib at all so I don't have anything that works with it. If SGI ever decides to support and document it I may change, but not until then. If you want to try to modify my software to read SGI imagelib files, try looking at the source files in 4Dgifts/iristools. The source files are the only "documentation" available for the imagelib. Sorry I can't be of any more help. (I tried twice to send this directly, so now I am posting it. Keep getting use unknown) -- Brent L.
