I am getting ready to buy a Personal Iris and I am interested in running SoftPC (personal computer emulator software) on it. I know that SGI sells this software but I was wondering if it (or something like it) is available in the public domain. Please e-mail responses to stephen@brl.mil. Thanks.

I am wondering if anyone has had any success running Windows 3.0 under the Soft-PC AT environemnt on the Iris. We are purchasing another Iris and will include the dos compatibility package, but I am still wondering whether I will be stuck with WORD 5.0(.5) or whether I can use the Windows Apps that I use at home on my 386 for my personal productivity.
